The Paratransit Service program offers convenient transportation for older adults whose starting and ending locations are within a ¾ mile radius of a local bus route during its operating hours. This program provides flexibility for individuals by offering two fare options based on the nature of the trip. An ADA Paratransit trip, costing $4.00, serves routes within the specified range, while trips beyond this limit fall under the Non-ADA Demand Response category with a fare of $6.00. Riders using this program can schedule shared rides via bus or train, requiring advance booking to accommodate their travel needs. The service ensures accessibility by offering curb-to-curb transportation and welcomes riders to bring along service animals. Payment for the service can be made in cash, making it convenient for older adults to access transportation services tailored to their specific requirements.
