Transportation Services is a convenient program that offers non-emergency medical transportation for older adults. This public transit program provides transportation through taxis or private cars, allowing riders to schedule rides in advance, usually at least a day ahead. Riders can make payments using insurance, vouchers, donations, or Medicaid. To access this program, individuals must be members of the Senior Center, with an annual membership fee of $5.
Transportation Services also offers paratransit options for those needing additional assistance, such as help with packages or bags. Riders can enjoy door-to-door or curb-to-curb transportation services, with the flexibility to schedule rides a few days in advance or even on-demand. Shared rides are available, and service animals are permitted to accompany riders.
