Provides rides for only the following purposes: necessary errands, medical appointments, grocery shopping, or social or recreational purposes. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you have a disability, or you have no other means of transportation. No membership is required.
The Transportation Assistance Program is a community service that offers older adults the opportunity to access free transportation services. Through this program, older adults can schedule rides in advance, typically a few days prior to their desired appointment. The program provides transportation options via bus, train, and van, offering shared rides to individuals.
Rides are available at no cost to the rider, with the program operating on a donation basis where any amount is greatly appreciated. When booking transportation through this program, appointment times are usually scheduled between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. The service offers curb-to-curb transportation, ensuring that older adults can easily reach their destination safely and comfortably. By utilizing this program, older adults can enhance their mobility and independence by accessing reliable transportation services to fulfill their daily needs and appointments.
