Dial-A-Ride is a transportation program designed to provide convenient and affordable transportation options for older adults. With a flat fee of $24 for each ride, riders do not need to worry about exchanging money with the driver. This program offers transportation via bus or train, ensuring flexibility in travel options. To arrange for a ride, riders are required to schedule in advance, typically a few days beforehand, allowing for proper planning and coordination.
Participants in the Dial-A-Ride program have the convenience of pre-paying for their rides, with the option to use credit card payments for ease of transaction. Additionally, this program offers shared rides, promoting social interactions and potentially reducing costs for riders. For added convenience, cash payments are also accepted. When utilizing Dial-A-Ride, older adults can expect curb-to-curb transportation services, ensuring a seamless travel experience from pick-up to drop-off.
