Provides rides for only the following purposes: necessary errands, medical appointments, grocery shopping, or social or recreational purposes. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you are 60+ years old, or you have a disability. No membership is required.
The Senior Transportation program offers convenient and reliable transportation services for older adults who require non-emergency medical transportation. This program utilizes taxis to provide public transit options, allowing older adults to travel to medical appointments, errands, or social activities. Riders can schedule rides in advance, ensuring timely pick-ups and drop-offs.
Payment options for the program are flexible and include insurance, vouchers, donations, and a membership fee. Additionally, older adults can pay a flat fee per ride or make an annual donation to support the service. The program also accepts Medicaid payments and offers various payment methods such as cash, credit cards, checks, and pre-payment.
For added convenience, the program provides door-to-door transportation, allowing older adults to travel directly from their starting point to their destination. The program also offers assistance with packages or bags and accommodates service animals. With features like on-demand scheduling, shared rides, and a driver who can wait for passengers during errands or appointments, the Senior Transportation program aims to make local travel accessible and hassle-free for older adults in the community.
