The ADA Paratransit program offers affordable transportation services for individuals who require paratransit assistance. Riders can access transportation via bus or train, with the option for shared rides to make the service more cost-effective. To utilize this program, riders need to schedule their trips in advance, typically a few days ahead of time, to ensure a smooth experience. The program accepts payments in various forms, including cash and check, providing flexibility for riders' preferences. Additionally, the program offers curb-to-curb transportation, enhancing the convenience and accessibility of the service for older adults who may need assistance getting to and from their destinations.

Service Area

Trips that qualify as ADA Paratransit must have origins and destinations that are within the ADA service area, typically 3/4 of a mile of the CityBus system, and occur within the same hours of operation. ADA Paratransit service is available in Danbury, Bethel, Brookfield and New Milford.
