Provides rides for any purpose, to all people, and no membership is required.
The Dial-a-Ride program offers non-emergency medical transportation to older adults through taxi services, making it convenient for them to reach their appointments and run errands. This public transit program allows older adults to schedule rides in advance, with options to pay through insurance, vouchers, donations, or a flat fee membership. Pricing details include a $1 charge per person per stop, with the availability of a punch pass for $16.
Participants in the program can benefit from private rides in cars, vans, or shared transportation via bus or train. The program accommodates different payment methods such as check, credit card, or cash, and Medicaid payments are accepted as well. Older adults can schedule on-demand rides, with options for door-to-door or curb-to-curb transportation services. Additionally, drivers may assist riders with packages, and service animals are permitted on board. It's recommended to book rides at least a few days in advance to secure transportation.
