Provides rides for only the following purposes: necessary errands, medical appointments, or social or recreational purposes. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you have a disability. No membership is required.
The transportation benefit program, known as Senior Transportation, offers older adults a convenient way to access non-emergency medical transportation services through taxi rides. This program operates as a public transit service that requires riders to schedule their trips at least one day in advance. Riders have various payment options available, including insurance, vouchers, coupons, donations, and Medicaid payments, along with the choice of paying a membership fee or flat fee for services.
Different pricing options are provided based on the destination, such as $3 for local rides, $40 for medical trips in Denver, $35 for medical trips in Steamboat Springs/Summit County, and $25 per person for shopping trips in Silverthorne. The program also offers paratransit services, assistance with packages or bags, and transportation through cars, buses, trains, vans, and rideshares. Riders can opt for on-demand scheduling, shared rides, and the convenience of having a driver wait during errands or appointments.
With a focus on providing a range of transportation options tailored to the needs of older adults, this program ensures reliable and accessible door-to-door, curb-to-curb transportation services while accommodating service animals for the comfort and convenience of its riders.
