Dignified Senior Transportation is a public transit program offering non-emergency medical transportation to older adults through taxi services. Riders are required to schedule rides in advance, with the option to pay through insurance, vouchers, donations, or a membership fee. The program also accepts Medicaid payments and offers a suggested donation of $2.00 - $12.00 based on the type and distance of the ride. Additionally, Dignified Senior Transportation provides private car rides, paratransit services, shared rides, and door-to-door transportation with the option of on-demand scheduling. This program ensures convenience and accessibility by providing transportation via van, bus, or train, following fixed routes, and allowing riders to pay with cash, credit cards, or checks. Moreover, Dignified Senior Transportation values the independence of older adults by offering assistance with packages or bags and permitting service animals on board. With amenities such as a driver waiting for passengers during errands or appointments, this program prioritizes the comfort and safety of older adults while supporting their mobility needs.
