County Express is a convenient non-emergency medical transportation program that caters to the needs of older adults by providing transportation via taxi. This public transit program allows older adults to schedule rides in advance, at least one day before their intended trip, ensuring a seamless experience. Riders have the flexibility to choose payment methods, including insurance, vouchers, coupons, or donations, with membership and flat fee options available. Additionally, County Express offers paratransit services, with pricing details such as a $3 fee for the general public for trips up to 3 stops or twenty minutes when arranged in advance. Discounts are available for older adults through the Area Agency on Aging, making it affordable and accessible. The program not only provides private rides using cars but also accepts Medicaid payments, providing further financial support to older adults. Furthermore, County Express ensures convenience by offering on-demand scheduling, shared rides, and assistance with packages or bags. With features like door-to-door and curb-to-curb transportation, older adults can travel comfortably and easily to their destinations.
