Demand Response Services offers a convenient and reliable transportation option for older adults. This non-emergency medical transportation program provides access to taxis for those requiring transportation for medical appointments or daily errands. Riders have the flexibility to schedule rides at least one day in advance, ensuring they can plan their trips accordingly. The program is inclusive, accepting various forms of payment such as insurance, vouchers, coupons, and donations. For older adults over the age of 60, the program offers complimentary rides, with donations encouraged to support the service. Riders under 60 can benefit from affordable fares, with a standard rate of $1.00 for in-town trips and $4.00 for out-of-town trips. Demand Response Services prioritizes accessibility by allowing Medicaid payments and offering paratransit services, including assistance with packages and bags. Whether older adults prefer private rides or shared transportation via car, bus, or train, this program caters to diverse needs. With features like on-demand scheduling, door-to-door and curb-to-curb transportation, and the option for drivers to wait during errands or appointments, Demand Response Services strives to make travel seamless and stress-free for older adults.
