Provides rides for any purpose, as long as you meet one of the following criteria: you are 60+ years old, or you have a disability.
Opportunity Bus Paratransit is a convenient transportation program designed for older adults needing non-emergency medical transport. This public transit initiative offers rides through taxis at an affordable rate of $2 per ride, and members can pay using insurance, vouchers, or donations, as well as cash, check, credit cards, or Medicaid payments. The program ensures flexibility by allowing on-demand scheduling and provides both private and shared rides via cars or vans. One unique feature is the option for door-to-door service, where a driver can wait for the passenger during errands or appointments. Riders are also welcome to bring service animals along for the journey. With the ability to schedule rides in advance, this paratransit service aims to make transportation accessible and reliable for older adults in the community.
