Dial A Ride is a transportation benefit program that offers convenient and affordable paratransit services for older adults. With Dial A Ride, individuals can schedule rides in advance for a low cost of $1.50 for advance reservations or $2.50 for same-day rides. This program ensures that older adults have access to necessary transportation by providing curb-to-curb service, allowing them to travel safely and comfortably to their destinations. Riders have the option to pay for services using methods such as checks, pre-payment, or cash, making it accessible for a variety of preferences. Additionally, Dial A Ride offers shared rides, allowing older adults to connect with others in their community and potentially reduce transportation costs. It is recommended that riders book their transportation a few days in advance through the Rides In Advance system to ensure timely and reliable service. With Dial A Ride, older adults can have peace of mind knowing that they have a reliable transportation option available to meet their needs.
