Out and About Vista offers a convenient transportation program for older adults looking to get around town. With the Shuttle and Volunteer Drivers service, older adults can enjoy reliable transportation via car with friendly volunteer drivers. The program is affordable, with shuttle services priced at $4 per round trip. For longer rides under 35 miles, the volunteer driver service is available for $6 per round trip, and for rides exceeding 35 miles, the cost is $12 round trip.
To use the Out and About Vista program, older adults are encouraged to schedule their rides in advance, with a minimum notice of a few days. Payment can be made conveniently by check, pre-payment, or in cash, and riders are charged based on the distance of their trip. When booking a ride through Out and About Vista, keep in mind the Rides In Advance feature to ensure timely transportation arrangements.
