Dial a Ride/Dial a Taxi is a convenient transportation program catering to older adults, offering taxi services that can be scheduled a day in advance. Upon approval, enrolled members can purchase a ticket book containing five vouchers at a reduced rate based on their income level. Users can pay for rides using these voucher coupons, which serve as cash up to a maximum of $15 per ride. Any fare amounts beyond $15 are to be settled directly with the driver in cash. To use this service, individuals need to arrange their rides a day in advance, preferably by 5 pm, to ensure timely pick-ups. This program offers curb-to-curb transportation, aiding older adults in reaching their destinations reliably.
