Provides rides for only the following purposes: necessary errands, medical appointments, or grocery shopping. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you are 60+ years old, or you have a disability. No membership is required.

The Volunteer Transportation program offers older adults the convenience of non-emergency medical transportation through taxi services. This public transit program ensures that older adults can schedule rides in advance, accommodating their needs for medical appointments or other errands. The program provides a private ride experience, whether through a car or van, along fixed routes or on-demand scheduling. Participants can benefit from a variety of payment options, including insurance coverage, vouchers, donations, or credit card payments. The program's pricing details are designed to be accessible, providing a cost-effective option for those requiring transportation assistance. In addition, Volunteer Transportation acknowledges the importance of flexibility, allowing riders to bring service animals and assisting with packages or bags during the journey. Whether it's a door-to-door service, curb-to-curb assistance, or a driver who waits for the passenger, this paratransit program ensures older adults receive the support they need to travel safely and independently. By offering shared rides and accommodating advance scheduling, Volunteer Transportation aims to enhance the overall transportation experience for older adults in the community.
