This non-emergency medical transportation program utilizes taxis for public transit, offering private rides for convenience. Riders can schedule transportation in advance, with the flexibility of on-demand scheduling also available. The program accepts different forms of payment, including insurance, vouchers, donations, and credit cards, making it accessible to a wide range of individuals.
With pricing details established between $35 - $45 for one-way rides within Santa Clara County and $50 - $65 for destinations outside the county, plus additional charges per mile, the program ensures transparent and reasonable fees. Additionally, the program's paratransit services cater to riders with packages or bags, providing assistance as needed. Door-to-door and curb-to-curb transportation services are offered, along with the option for service animals to accompany riders.
Whether older adults need transportation for medical appointments, errands, or other engagements, the Transportation Service program strives to make travel convenient, safe, and accommodating.
