Dial a Ride/Dial a Lift is a non-emergency medical transportation program designed to assist older adults with their transportation needs. This program offers convenient transportation services via taxi, aiding individuals in accessing medical facilities both on and off the Peninsula. Riders are required to schedule their trips in advance, with flexible payment options such as insurance, vouchers, coupons, donations, and Medicaid payments being accepted. In addition to providing private rides via car, this paratransit program ensures the comfort and convenience of its passengers by offering assistance with packages or bags and allowing service animals on board. The program features a range of payment methods including pre-payment, credit cards, checks, and cash, making it accessible to a wide range of individuals. Door-to-door transportation services are provided, with the option for on-demand scheduling and shared rides to enhance flexibility and affordability for older adults utilizing this public transit program.
