Provides rides for only the following purposes: necessary errands, medical appointments, grocery shopping, or social or recreational purposes. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you are 60+ years old. No membership is required.

The Senior Center Transportation program offers convenient and reliable non-emergency medical transportation services to support older adults in accessing essential healthcare appointments and running errands. This program provides transportation options via taxis and public transit, ensuring flexibility and accessibility for participants. Riders can schedule rides in advance, up to a few days or even a week, allowing for seamless planning of transportation needs. Moreover, the program offers various payment options, including insurance, vouchers, donations, and membership fees. Suggested donation rates are set at $0.50 for one-way rides within the service area and $1.00 for rides outside the area. Additionally, the program accepts Medicaid payments and provides options for pre-payment, credit card, check, or cash payments, making it easy for older adults to use the service. Furthermore, the Senior Center Transportation program prioritizes rider comfort and assistance, offering door-to-door and curb-to-curb transportation services. It also provides paratransit options, accommodating older adults with mobility challenges. Service animals are welcome, and assistance with packages or bags is available. Overall, this program is designed to meet the transportation needs of older adults effectively, promoting independence and well-being.

Medical rides may be taken anywhere in the San Fernando Valley. Non-medical rides must be local in Northridge.
