The Dial-A-Taxi program is a convenient transportation service designed for older adults who need non-emergency medical transportation or assistance with getting around. This program offers rides via taxi, providing a flexible and reliable way for older adults to travel within the service area and satellite regions for a flat fee of $5 per one-way trip. Additionally, participants can access transportation to or from John Wayne Airport for $16 per one-way trip.
To utilize this program, riders are required to schedule their trips at least one day in advance and can choose to pay for their rides using insurance, vouchers, coupons, donations, Medicaid, pre-payment, credit cards, checks, or cash. The Dial-A-Taxi program also offers the option for on-demand scheduling, shared rides, and private transportation services via car or van. Riders can rest assured that the program accommodates service animals and permits the transportation of packages or bags. Whether older adults need door-to-door, curb-to-curb, or fixed-route transportation, this program strives to meet their diverse needs while ensuring a safe and comfortable journey.
