Dial A Ride is a convenient transportation service available to individuals who may need assistance with their travels. This paratransit program offers a cost-effective fare structure, with general fare set at $2.50 and a discounted rate of $1.75 for individuals who are seniors or have disabilities. To utilize this service, riders are required to schedule their rides in advance, typically a few days ahead of time. Payment for rides can be made with either cash or check, providing flexibility for riders. Dial A Ride offers curb-to-curb transportation, ensuring passengers are safely picked up and dropped off at their desired locations. Additionally, riders are welcome to bring their service animals along for the journey, guaranteeing a comfortable and inclusive experience for all participants. Whether running errands, attending appointments, or simply exploring the community, Dial A Ride is a reliable transportation option for those in need of personalized assistance.


Service Area

Bounded by Twin City Road on the north, Kost Road on the south, Alta Mesa Road on the east, and Christensen Road on the west. On Tuesdays we offer extended service to the Clay station area of Herald. Fare is $2.50 per one-way trip for all riders using the extended service. On Thursdays and Fridays we offer service for seniors and disabled passengers from Galt to some medical facilities in Sacramento and Elk Grove. Trip requests must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Fare is $2.50 per one-way trip.
