Handy Ride Paratransit is a convenient transportation option for older adults that provides non-emergency medical transportation through taxi services. This public transit program allows riders to schedule rides in advance, at least one day ahead, and offers flexible payment options including insurance, vouchers, donations, and credit card payments. While there is a nominal membership fee and flat fee per one-way journey, the program also accepts Medicaid payments and offers the option for pre-payment. The area boundaries are generally Copper Ave to the north, east to Willow Ave, south to Ashlan Ave, east to Temperace Ave, south to Central Ave, west to Polk ave, north to the Fresno County line and east to Copper Ave.
