The Transportation Assistance Program offers reliable and convenient transportation options to older adults for non-emergency medical appointments, errands, and social outings. This program partners with local taxi services to provide flexible transportation solutions, allowing older adults to travel via car or van based on their needs. Riders have the convenience of scheduling their rides in advance, with the option of on-demand scheduling for immediate transportation needs.
To access the program, riders can become members by paying an annual fee and a nominal fee per ride. The program also offers the flexibility of accepting payments through insurance, vouchers, donations, or credit cards. Additionally, Medicaid payments are accepted to ensure accessibility for riders with specific coverage.
One notable feature of this program is the provision of door-to-door transportation services, ensuring that older adults can be safely transported from their homes to their destination. For added convenience, riders can also request assistance with carrying packages or bags, and service animals are welcomed on board. Whether older adults require transportation for medical appointments, grocery shopping, or social engagements, this program aims to provide a reliable and affordable solution for their transportation needs.
