This program offers rides via taxi with affordable pricing based on trip tiers: Tier 1 trip fare at $1 each way, Tier 2 trip fare at $2 each way, and Tier 3 trip fare at $3 each way. Riders are required to schedule their trips in advance, providing convenience and ensuring timely service. Payment options include checks and cash for added flexibility.
Participants in the Dial a Ride program can enjoy shared van rides, which promote social interaction and community connections. This program offers curb-to-curb transportation, emphasizing safety and convenience for older adults. Additionally, riders are welcome to bring their service animals along for the journey, ensuring comfort and accessibility throughout their travels. Dial a Ride is a reliable and accommodating transportation option that prioritizes the needs of older adults."
Service Area
Tier 1:Service is provided for Cerritos residents to and from any destination within Cerritos, Artesia, and portions of La Palma and Norwalk. Residents will be picked up by Dial-A-Ride vans. Tier 2:Cerritos residents may travel to and from any medical facility or hospital within a three-mile radius of Tier 1. Passengers will be picked up by a taxi for Tier 2 trips. Tier 3:Cerritos residents may also travel to City approved medical facilities and hospitals outside the Tier 2 boundaries. passengers will be picked up by taxi for Tier 3 trips.
