The Mileage Reimbursement Program offers a flexible and convenient non-emergency medical transportation service for older adults. This program provides transportation via taxi or car, ensuring that older adults can easily attend medical appointments, run errands, or access essential services. Riders can schedule rides in advance, with options to pay through insurance, vouchers, donations, or Medicaid. With a membership fee and a per-mile reimbursement rate, this program allows older adults to access up to 100 miles per month within the county and up to 300 miles per month outside the county. In addition to individual private rides, shared rides are also available through this program, providing a cost-effective and social transportation option. Moreover, the Mileage Reimbursement Program includes paratransit services, accommodating riders with packages or bags while offering door-to-door or curb-to-curb transportation. Whether traveling on fixed routes, buses, trains, or vans, older adults can rely on this program for accessible and reliable transportation, with the option for on-demand scheduling and a driver who can wait during appointments or errands.
