Placer Rides is a wonderful transportation program designed to assist older adults in accessing necessary transportation services. Through this program, older adults can request a ride via car to various destinations. The program operates on a suggested donation basis of $5 round trip, ensuring affordability for those utilizing the service. One of the great features of Placer Rides is the option for riders to receive assistance with carrying packages or bags, providing additional support for older adults with their belongings. To utilize this service, riders are required to schedule their rides in advance, preferably a few days beforehand, through the convenient Rides In Advance scheduling system. Best of all, Placer Rides offers this essential transportation service to older adults entirely free of charge, making it a valuable resource for those who may have limited mobility or access to transportation. This program aims to enhance the independence and quality of life for older adults by providing a reliable and supportive transportation option.
