Placer Rides is a comprehensive transportation program designed to assist older adults with getting to their medical appointments and other essential destinations in a safe and reliable manner. This program offers the convenience of accessing transportation services through taxis, ensuring that riders reach their destinations promptly. Riders are required to schedule their rides in advance, with the flexibility of booking a few days up to a week ahead, allowing for proper planning of transportation needs.
One of the unique features of the Placer Rides program is its flexibility in payment options, including the acceptance of insurance, vouchers, donations, and Medicaid payments. Additionally, riders have the convenience of choosing various payment methods such as cash, credit card, or check. While a suggested donation of $5 round trip is encouraged, the program also offers a membership fee or flat fee structure, catering to different financial preferences.
Placer Rides strives to provide a comfortable and inclusive transportation experience by offering door-to-door or curb-to-curb service, allowing riders to access transportation that suits their needs best. The program also ensures the safety and convenience of its riders by permitting service animals on board. With its focus on accessibility and quality service, Placer Rides is a valuable resource for older adults seeking reliable transportation options for their daily activities.
