Paratransit is a specialized transportation service designed to cater to the needs of individuals with disabilities or mobility limitations. This program offers different pricing options based on the distance of the ride. For ADA trips, the cost is $4 for a one-way ride. For non-ADA trips within 6-15 miles, the price is $4 for the first 5 miles and an additional $0.50 for every extra mile. For non-ADA trips that exceed 16 miles, the fare is $9 for the first 15 miles and $1 for each additional mile. Riders utilizing this program must schedule their trips in advance, typically a few days prior to the intended travel date. Payment can be made by check or in cash, and pre-payment options are also available. Shared rides are offered to reduce costs and increase efficiency. Transportation is provided using vans, ensuring comfortable and accessible travel for those who require assistance. It's important to keep in mind the "Rides In Advance" guideline when arranging transportation through the Paratransit program.
