How can this program help me?
If you are caring for someone who has Alzheimer’s disease or a related illness such as dementia, this program may provide you with help. The types of services you can get to help care for your loved one may include in-home help, adult day care, transportation, and respite care (a break from caregiving). The program may also provide additional help with nutritional supplements, home-delivered meals, security systems, special clothing, and chair lifts.
How do I get help?
To find out how to apply for this program, contact your local Area Agency on Aging. You will need to provide a doctor’s statement that you are caring for someone who is being treated for Alzheimer’s or a related illness.
