The In-Home Care program offers non-emergency medical transportation services to older adults. This program utilizes taxis for transportation and is considered public transit. Riders are required to schedule their rides at least one day in advance and can make payments through insurance, vouchers, coupons, donations, or Medicaid. There are various payment options available, including hourly rates, flat fees, or mileage charges if using a caregiver's vehicle. Additionally, the program provides private rides, paratransit services, and assistance with packages or bags. It allows for on-demand scheduling, shared rides, and accepts payments by check, cash, credit card, or pre-payment. In-Home Care provides transportation via cars, vans, buses, or trains and follows fixed routes or offers door-to-door and curb-to-curb transportation services. Moreover, the program accommodates service animals and can schedule rides in advance up to a week, ensuring older adults have reliable transportation for errands, appointments, and other needs.
