With the Paratransit program, riders can book their trips at least one day ahead for a cost-effective fare of just three dollars for two trips. This program offers transportation services via bus or train, ensuring that older adults can easily reach their desired destinations. One of the key features of the Paratransit program is its shared ride option, allowing multiple passengers to travel together. Riders are encouraged to schedule their rides in advance to secure their preferred time slots. The program includes specific routes such as the Brewton/Atmore Dialysis Route, operational on weekdays from 6:00 a.m. onwards, and the Medical Route, available from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., covering a wide area in Escambia County. Paratransit provides older adults with curb-to-curb transportation, ensuring a seamless and efficient travel experience. Whether heading for medical appointments or daily errands, this program offers a reliable solution for older adults seeking affordable and accessible transportation services.
