The Medical Transportation program offers non-emergency medical transportation services for older adults. This program provides transportation via taxi and public transit, allowing older adults to access necessary medical appointments and services. Riders can schedule rides in advance, typically at least a day in advance, and have the option to pay using insurance, vouchers, coupons, donations, or Medicaid payments.
The program offers a range of payment options, including a membership fee, flat fee, or varying rates depending on the service used. It accommodates different payment methods such as pre-payment, credit card, check, or cash. Additionally, the program provides private rides and shared rides, allowing older adults flexibility in their transportation needs.
For added convenience, the program permits on-demand scheduling and provides door-to-door, curb-to-curb, and fixed-route transportation services. Riders can also bring service animals on board. Overall, the Medical Transportation program aims to ensure older adults have safe and reliable transportation options to access essential healthcare services.

Service area:-Fixed wing bases in Anchorage, Fairbanks, dutch Harbor, and Juneau, serving the entire state of Alaska and beyond. -Rotary wing bases in Palmer and Soldotna serving areas within 150 miles. -fixed wing base in Bethel serving the villages of the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta region in Western Alaska. -Ground services based in Anchorage providing on-demand Advanced Life Support ground ambulance transportation within the Municipality of Anchorage, the Mat-Su Valley and the Kenai area.
