That's why the Limited Income Newly Eligible Transition Program, or LINET, provides immediate prescription coverage for people who qualify for Part D Extra Help and have no drug plan. Find out if you're eligible for Medicare's LINET program and how to enroll in benefits.

The Limited Income Newly Eligible Transition (LINET) Program provides immediate, temporary prescription coverage for people who qualify for Medicare Part D and who also have no prescription drug coverage. If you qualify for LINET, you will be charged a reduced copayment based on your level of Medicare Part D coverage, also known as Extra Help. Administered by Humana, LINET has no network pharmacy restrictions and covers all Part D covered drugs.
Medicare has a program called Medicare Part D that helps pay for your prescription medicine. This program, often referred to as "Extra Help", gives you a choice of prescription plans that offer various types of coverage. If you have enrolled or can enroll in Medicare Part D and you have limited income and resources, you may be able to get Extra Help with your prescription drug costs. This benefit is known as Medicare Part D Low-Income Subsidy (LIS) or Extra Help.
BenefitsCheckUp helps assess whether you can get help from programs before you apply. Answer questions anonymously to find out if you may be eligible for key benefits assistance, including the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Medicare Savings Programs, Medicaid, Medicare Part D Low Income Subsidy (LIS) - Extra Help, among others.
